RAMNAGAR, APR 05:
While addressing a large gathering of Civil society members hailing from all walks of life including traders, social, political and religious organizations, here at Town-Hall Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania vouched for granting of a full-fledged District Status to Ramnagar. Speaking upon the occasion Mr Pathania said that being the oldest, largest and one of the poorest tehsil in the State, which once used to be a separate state known as “Kingdom of Bandralta”, Ramnagar is having distinct identity, culture, language, attire, feeding habits etc.
Now at present 3 Sub-Divisions Ramnagar,Dudu and Basantgarh, 4 Tehsils Ramnagar, Basantgarh,Majalta and Latti; and 9 Niabats having been carved out of it, as such, fully qualifies for creation of a separate administrative entity i.e, Full -Fledged District Status for Ramnagar. He said that setting of ADC offices at various other places neglecting the Ramnagar has fuelled up a sort of discontentment among the public and they have been let down.
Mr Pathania informed the gathering that he has taken up the issue of granting full fledged District Status to Ramnagar with the Committee notified by Jammu and Kashmir Govt. for creation of administrative units and is hopeful for a positive response from the govt side very soon.A full fledged district for Ramnagar will help in percolating the governance to the lowest level thus elevating the socio-economic status of the common man. Prominent among them were Sham Lal, Rajinder Sharma (Mandal ardhans),Shonku Kharka, Ajay Khajuria, Raghuvir Sharma, Capt Mohan Singh, Master Raj Gopal, Rakesh Kharka, Mulkh Raj, Mohan Lal, Bodh Raj, Capt Des Raj, Rattan Chand, Sunil Kumar, Bodh Raj, Raju, Rattan Sharma, Ranjeet Sharma, Rakesh, Sunil Sharma, Sunil Kumar, Romesh Sharma.
