A massive protest demonstration under the banner of All J&K PDD Need based/casual workers was staged in front of the office of Chief Engineer EM&RE Wing, Jammu. Hundreds of Casual Workers from All over Jammu province take part in the protest and demanded the Governor’s Administration to resolve their issue. While addressing the workers Mr. Akhil Sharma, President All J&K PDD Need based/casual workers asked the higher authorities to fulfill their burning demands. In Kashmir province about 7500 workers are being paid wages regularly and are regularized till 2012 but in Jammu province there are only 3405 workers who are even deprived from their earned wages. These are the workers who work round the clock to run power supply. The strike of the workers today entered 28th day but the issue is not resolved. Those present Bilal, Bashir, Ab.
