Exuding confidence that newly nominated party office bearers would act as a torch bearers for taking party’s core agenda to grass root level and will work with dedication and spirit to strengthen the party fold. Addressing a felicitation function organized for newly appointed party office bearers at party office today Ch. Hussain Ali Waffa thanked the party leadership for reposing faith on all the new teammates for extension of responsibilities to strengthen the party at grass root level in the region.
Stressing for the strengthening of the party and democratizing its mission before the masses of the state, Waffa said that PDP could play a vital role in keeping the communal forces at bay who are hell-bent to vitiate the atmosphere of peace in the otherwise tolerant state known for its values of inter-religious harmony and brotherhood adding that the time has come when every peace loving citizen of the state needs to come forward and strengthen the hands of the party that has been in the forefront speaking truth to power and representing the aspirations of the downtrodden sections of the society and of the perturbed people of the state, gasping for peace and tranquility since long.
Hailing the valour and zeal of the party workers, Sh. Daman Bhasin member PAC said that despite all odds party workers have been working with hectic but earnest efforts to democratise the idea of the PDP and to make the party a vibrant force for state’s betterment and growth at political as well as on the developmental fronts.
Master Tasaduq Hussain seniors leader of the party said that PDP is the most credible political voice in the state and represents not only the aspiration of the people but also symbolizes accountability, transparency and able governance. He said the party has a track record of pursuing the policy of dialogue for resolution of all issues and late Mufti Mohmmad Syed changed the discourse in the sub-continent when it witnessed spell of initiatives from 2002 to 2005 for friendship between India and Pakistan and building of mutual trust at peoples level through various exchanges.
Sh. R.K. Bali State Secretary Incharge Office of the party said that late Mufti Syed developed an alternative narrative in the State and provide balm to the wounds of people with the launch of PDP and subsequently the government led by him in 2002 succeeded to a large extent in that. He said it was for the first time that the discourse in the State got changed to an extent that some of the monumental confidence building measures were taken to assuage the feeling of the people.
