PDP-BJP at loggerheads but lust of power binding them: Bhalla

Former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today expressed concern over the continued sufferings of the people of state on every count. He said the PDP-BJP government had miserably failed to govern the state as a result of which entire Jammu and Kashmir was passing through a difficult phase.”The PDP-BJP combination is squarely responsible for the current alarming situation,” Bhalla said. He made a fervent appeal to the people to maintain peace, saying the unity and tranquillity has been the biggest strength to foil the machinations of the failed coalition partners. He hoped that the people would fight all those trying to create a wedge between various segments of society.
He blamed the PDP-BJP coalition government for the deteriorating situation in the state, saying that both the parties are doing politics over sensitive issues. Addressing a well attended gathering at Bahu Fort area of Gandhi Nagar constituency here, Bhalla claimed that the coalition partners are deliberately creating hurdles in the peace and development of the state by doing politics over sensitive issues, but despite that they want to remain in power at the cost of overall interests and wishes of the people of state, he said.
The meeting was organised by Karuna Chhetri President Gourka Bradhari .Prominent among those present on the occasion include Block President Yudhvir Singh,Ex Corporator Asha Bhagat, Rakesh Bhagat, Vipan Sharma Kaka, Vijay Khajuria Viju, Vinay Sharma Binu, Sandeep Dogra, Shankar Singh,RaghunanaDan Shrestha, SB Raina, Manish Adhikari,Harvinder Kour, Madam Kirna Sham singh, Mohinder Singh,Vinod Kumar, Shanti Sharma, Kiran Sharma, Ranju Devi, Madam Babli Devi, Ashu Mehra besides others.The result of it is that the situation in the state continues to deteriorate, which is a matter of great concern,” he said. “Congress is the only secular and unifying force in the state, which has always strengthened the secularism and it will continue to safeguard the secular fabric of the country and state,” he said. Congress has always played the role of unifying force in this sensitive state having regional, religious and linguistic and cultural diversities.
