A J&K based NGO People’s Hut Foundation has been selected for Tata Group volunteering program making it the only NGO from the UT. Under this program employees from the Tata Group contribute towards societal well-being and as a part of this initiative, each volunteer is encouraged to support the selected NGO in many forms.
Employees are encouraged to form teams and involve family members in their efforts. The community projects carried out under this program are in the areas of education, health, environment, and others.
While briefing the media Dr. Rohit Koul Director and CEO of the Foundation said it has been selected to participate in the third collaboration of Chezuba with the Tata Group for an employee volunteering program. This program is available only to a few selected NGOs to ensure excellent volunteering experience to the corporate volunteers through great communication, guidance, and prompt support.
Under this program, highly skilled employees and family members of TATA Group volunteer and help NGOs with high level projects like building branding strategy, financial strategy, training, and mentoring, etc.
Program Coordinators of PHF Dr. Swagata Das and Dr. Snehasish Tripathy said Virtual volunteering has proven to be an effective tool to engage employees remotely while creating social impact at the same time and it creates life changing employee volunteering experiences creating impact in the areas they are interested in. It is really a privilege for our foundation which has been selected to receive volunteering support from the prestigious Tata Group and it would definitely benefit the society in the coming times.
