ALL J&K PHE ITI TRAINED, CP AND LAND DONER WORKERS ASSOCIATION President Tanveer Hussain said that the workers alleged that all the successive governments for the last over twenty years have all along adopted callous attitude towards the genuine demands of the workers regarding their regularization and payment of pending wages for years together. The government never fulfilled its commitment and continued to keep the fate of the workers in the lurch, he added.
It is unfortunate that the state administration presently headed by the Governor Shri Satya Pal Malik has also ignored our plight whereas we had great expectations from Governor but no positive step has been taken so far , said Tanveer Hussain, president of the association. More than 27000 daily earners are working with PHE department in the state. The PHE workers are without their earned wages for the last over 52 months and it has badly affected their families the wages being the only source of income for them, a protester said.
Other prominent leaders who addressed the rally were Deepak Gupta vice president, Subash chander General secy, Manjeet Singh, Vijay Kumar, Jeevan Singh, Tilak Raj, Pawan Kumar , Pardeep Sharma, Dinesh Sharma, Altaf Hussain, Ravi Sharma, Gulam Nabi, ‘shag Hussain, Ganesh, Maqbool Hussain, Zulfkar Ahmed, Rajesh Sharma etc.
