Panun Kashmir organized a press conference at Jammu today. It was addressed by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir, Prof. M.L.Raina, Chairman, Political Affairs Committee and Virender Raina, National Spokesperson-PK.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir in his address congratulated the “KP Joint Action” for its remarkable initiative to present the Comprehensive Political Agenda (CPA) to the Government of India through the appropriate political channel. The CPA besides taking care of the core geo-political aspirations of the Kashmiri Pandit community focuses specifically on the economic rehabilitation issues of the youth, pressing concerns of the displaced employees especially the valley posted employees, the people who deserve compensation rightfully due to them and also the civilizational concerns articulated through the passage of the Shrines and Temples Bill. This Agenda has the potential to take the Kashmiri Pandit struggle in exile to the new level. We enjoin upon all to join this joint action programme so that the community enables itself to get the attention it duly deserves.
Prof. M.L.Raina, Chairman, Political Affairs Committee said that the recent order of the government of J&K state to reopen the registration of the “migrants” is a highly sinister move aimed at encouraging the registration of the so called political migrants from Kashmir.
This so called fresh registration has the potential to open floodgates of fake imposters masquerading as “migrants”.
Virender Raina, National Spokesperson-PK stated that the recent incidents of stone pelting on the security forces engaged in the anti terrorist operations in Kashmir is highly condemnable. On many occasions, the security forces have tried to avoid the collateral damage to the stone pelters and instead invited self damage in order to save them. Such actions of these anti-social individuals adversely impact the anti terrorist operations. The recent statement of the Army Chief in this regard, that all those involved in aiding the terrorists and helping them in escaping would be treated as jehadis and anti nationals and would be dealt with accordingly, is highly encouraging.
The state government is expected to learn lessons and needs to take serious measures in this regard instead of providing largesse to the stone pelters at the cost of the national interests.
