Plantation drive held at Ward 41

Jammu, July, 29:
A plantation drive was held in the Hajuri Bagh locality in Ward Number 41 of Bohri, Talab Tillo area. Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma carried out the whole plantation drive under his guidance, while the drive was carried with the help of Jammu Municipal Corporation on the request of local Councillor and BJP State Secretary Sanjay Baru.
BJP District President Ayodhya Gupta, MVO/Nodal Officer Solid Waste Management JMC Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Tehsildar Rajesh Kumar, Jeet Angral, Sahil ji Maharaj, Revenue Officer JMC Ashwani Sudan, Revenue Officer JMC Sunil Gupta, SO Health Section JMC Ravi Sharma and other prominent social and political persons made the plantation drive successful.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, said that we are fortunate enough to be bestowed upon the opportunity to serve the planet and the mankind by sowing these saplings.
He said that no doubt the humans have done the damage beyond sanity level, but it the only human race that can make things right from here. Elaborating on the subject, he said that this particular time of year in “Sawan” month is very supportive for the plant growth and it is also our tradition for thousands of years to worship and be supportive to mother nature.
He also appreciated the concern of Municipal department and the efforts of local councilor as well as all local social and political activists who have come forward to participate in the sacred event.
Sanjay Baru, while presenting his thoughts before the present prominent persons, focused on the need of aforestation to save the mother Earth. He said that in the process of industrialization and the modernization.
He appealed whole human race to take aforestation on a mission level for a healthier and greener future. He added that this increased effort to plant trees will also directly lead to increase in the water table level with in the ground, which has presently fallen to an alarming level.
Dr. Zafar Iqbal, highlighted the need of local involvement in the preservation of natural resources and making Jammu clean and green. He requested the local residents to take care of these saplings afterwards so that they evolve as fully grown trees, ready to nurture Earth for many decades to come.
Kuldeep Magotra, Pushpa Wazir, Jaideep Sambyal, Keshav Chopra, Jatin Sethi, Ashok Wazir, Surinder Bhagat, Vinod Wazir, Bhubesh Thappa, Sanitary Inspector Anoop Sharma, Ward Supervisor William Masih and others were among/st the prominent persons present on the occasion.
