Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Sunday said that the BJP Government under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon restore Jammu and Kashmir’s past glory that too with people getting opportunities as never before.
The BJP stalwart said this during a visit to Ward Nos. 55 and 68 in Gandhi Nagar Constituency to have firsthand knowledge of people’s concern and problems. Former MLC Vikram Randhawa also accompanied Kavinder during the visit which proved out to be very useful as residents wanted to share their issues especially before the onset of the rainy season which is already on cards.
The residents of the aforesaid wards apprised Kavinder Gupta about their civic problems and also hailed him for representing the Jammu region effectively in the recent All Party Meeting called by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Giving a patient hearing to the people, Kavinder said that the meeting was a great success and it can be felt by one and all present in the meeting that PM Modi is likely to take some revolutionary steps in J&K including early Assembly polls to ensure that golden days that used to be the characteristics of the erstwhile State will be back soon. He said that people of J&K should continue to pose undaunted faith in the leadership of PM Modi as they are doing right now to ensure unprecedented development and lasting peace.
Responding to local demands, Kavinder assured that the blacktopping work of the road in the vicinity will be started soon and the transformer which was proving to be inadequate for the load of the area will also be upgraded on priority. He said that whosoever has any problem related to civic issues or otherwise also can contact him for early redressal.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that he is at the disposal of the people of J&K round the clock and they should not shirk in approaching him.
Others who were present on the occasion include Mandal presidents Bharat Bhushan and Lucky Neeraj Puri, Corporator Anil Kumar and Pawan Singh, Darshan Abrol, Capt Jameet Singh, Mandeep Chowdhary, Ashok Sharma and Ajmer Singh.
Later, the former Deputy Chief Minister visited Langer, Ambika Colony and Greater Kailash, and held interaction with the locals to know about their problems and aspirations from the government.
The residents apprised Kavinder Gupta about their problems which include maintenance of lanes and drains, power transformers up-gradation, unscheduled power cuts, etc.
After listening to people’s grievances in detail, the senior BJP leader assured that very soon all the problems will be taken care of and the localities will be transformed into model areas with all amenities reaching at the doorsteps.
