To intensify the ongoing struggle under recently launched program me “SAVE FUTURE OF GENEXT KASHMIRI PANDITS” Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) , who is spearheading the survival issues of the community titled “SURVIVAL FIRST” held a massive protest rally today. The rally proceeded from YAIKS headquarter Muthi Jammu and passed through Relief commissioner’s Office and finally culminated at dogra Chowk press Club, Jammu, Under the Youth leadership of YAIKS President Pt. R.K Bhat.
Pt. R.K Bhat said that PM’s Rehabilitation Package for KPS is a big failure and was cruel jock with the community YAIKS demands PM’s rehabilitation package needs to be structured, redesign, re-look and revised after having proper dialogue with YAIKS and its representatives.
It seems, there is no Political will power to ensure us permanent resettlement and comprehensive rehabilititation. Govt. has sent out feelers of rehabilitation packages but never drawn any comprehensive long term plan for repatriation of KP’s . we have no unique predicament and Identity, we are holding (Temporary) Aarzi Ration Cards in our hands for last 29 years in the democratic Country, AAKHIR KAB TAK ?? For last three decades GOI has announce many packages for us including PM’s return and Rehabilitation w hich was announced long back in April, 2008 Thus not even 5% of the whole package has been implemented so far, woth rs. 1618.40 crores, Rs. 5000 and rs. 2000 crores package was earmarked by the GOI, but unfortunately not even 10 percent of it has been implemented so far. The non-implementation of the package has again exposed the evil designs of the political parties involved and t heir apathy towards the Nationalist forces of microscopic community of Kashmiri Pandits. To analylze these facrts and find a way forward, Unanimous view was that yout of the community needs to come forward and carry forward community struggle and its lost identity.
During the protest Governer was appealed to ghet sanctioned next more 3000 jobs in addition to already sanctioned 6000 job package for LEFT OVER CANDIDATES who couldn’t benefitted under PMs Rehabilitiation scheme, Goveernor’s intervention is needed to dierect SSRB and Rellief organization not to reserve SC/ST/ALC/OCS posts unnecessarily when migrant KASHMIR’S have not such categories available. Protesters further demanded that there should be minimum 5% reservation of employment in Central and State Govt. to fulfill our long terms needs. More than 25000 KPS migrants employees retired in Stante and Central Govt. departments during the migration period but unfortunately none o the vacancies got filled among community members. It was agreed upon in the package that whose ever is ready and volunteer to go back to Kashmir Valley will be provided survival in terms of suitable jbs as per the candidate’s eligibility.
Subsequently, Employment notifications were issued by the State Govt. in 2010 and 2012 and so on, where in large number of Kashmiri Migrant youth applied bfor the different posts as per their qualification. But unfortunately most of the candidates were dropped for unknown reason despite being qualified as in light of the notifications issued by the concerning Authourities.
