POJK DP’s Front hold a protest rally at Press Club Jammu today under the chairmanship of president Capt Yudhvir Singh Chib. While interacting with media persons Chib stated that POJK DP’s are struggling since 1947 and have suffered loss of their huge properties which they left in POJK during the Pak aggression of 1947. He further said that after a long struggle, the Prime Minister of India Sh Narendra Modi Ji sanctioned Rs Two Thousand Crore for disbursement of POJK Refugees and allotted amount has been distributed to minimum DP’s families so far. Process of identification is going on at very low pace due to lack of previous documents which are not available with claimants and also in the old record rooms of J&K Government, he added.
He further highlighted several demands which including ID Card (Pehchan Card) should be given to POJK DP’s by the J&K Govt., PRC Process should be simplified and under fixed time, old revenue record should be maintained and computerized by the J&K Govt.
