POJK DP’s Front hold a protest rally on today under the Chairmanship of President Captain (Retd.) Yudhvir Singh Chib. POJK DP’s struggling since 1947 and have suffered loss of their huge properties which they left in POJK during the Pak aggressing of 1947, 1965 and 1971. While addressing the protestors, the president stated that after a long struggle, the Prime Minister of India Sh. Narender Modi Ji sanctioned Rs 2 Thousand crore for disbursement to P.O.J.K Refugees. But DP’s are still living in penury and the allotted amount has been distributed to minimum DP’s families so far, he added. He further stated that the process of identification is going on at very slow pace due to lack of previous documents which are not available with claimants and also in the old record rooms of Jammu and Kashmir Government.
