Police in Srinagar & Kulgam today paid rich tributes to martyr DySP Aman Kumar Thakur who got martyred on 24th Feb-2019 in an encounter at Turigam Kulgam.
The commemoration parade was organized at District Police Lines Kulgam and floral wreaths were laid at the Martyrs memorial as a mark of respect for his Supreme sacrifices. Speaking on the occasion, I/C SSP Kulgam Shri Mohd Yousuf-JKPS said that the brave officer sacrificed his life in the line of duty and achieved martyrdom while fighting the terrorists in an encounter. His commitment and devotion towards professional obligations shall always be remembered.
Besides, senior officers including DySP Hqrs, DySP DAR, SDPO Qazigund, SDPO D.H.Pora, DySP PC Mir Bazar, DySP PC Hatipora with other officers/officials of District Police Kulgam were also present on the occasion.
Similarly, Srinagar Police also organized a memorial function at District Police Lines Srinagar in the memory of martyr DySP Aman Kumar Thakur-JKPS. In this regard a memorial function was held at DPL Srinagar, which was presided over by SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS. While offering rich tributes to the martyr, SSP Srinagar said that the supreme sacrifice of the officer can never be forgotten as he has laid down his life for the restoration of peace and harmony in the valley especially and for the Nation in particular.
SSP Srinagar paid floral tributes to the martyr DySP Aman Kumar Thakur-JKPS. SSP Srinagar was flanked by the officers of the District Srinagar and Budgam.
