Police solve burglary case at Satyarthi’s residence

Delhi Police on Sunday claimed to have solved the recent burglary case in which Nobel laureate and child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi’s residence in Kalkaji was targeted and among other things his Nobel Prize citation and a replica of the medallion were stolen.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Romil Baaniya confirmed that the case was solved. He added that the same set of accused were involved in two more burglaries in the same area.
“We have worked out the burglary case at aravalli apartments where 3 flats were burgled including that of Mr. satyarthi. the stolen nobel prize and other jewellery recovered,” said Mr. Baaniya.
While he did not specify the number of those arrested, sources said at least three persons were held in connection with the incident.
The matter was reported on February 7 when the locks of Mr. Satyarthi’s two bedroom DDA House were found broken.
