Director Mahesh Bhatt is all set to make his comeback with his upcoming directorial ‘Sadak 2’ which will star his two daughters Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt along with Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Duttin lead roles. The romantic thriller is the sequel to Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Sadak’. Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt played the lead roles in the 1991 film, which was the story of a taxi driver who tries to rescue the girl he loves from a brothel.
Pooja will begin working for the upcoming film from April. Recently during an interview, the actress opened up about reuniting with her dad and the original cast of ‘Sadak’ and also working with her sister Alia Bhatt. Pooja said that the film is a homecoming for all of them. The actress last appeared in the 2001 film ‘Everybody Says I’m Fine’ and she knows that she will be acting again after a lot of time.
Pooja is also excited that she is working again with her dad and for the first time with her sister Alia and will also be reuniting with Sanjay Dutt after ages. The actress says due to all these reasons there will be a lot of bonhomie on the set. The actress also terms the film as a payback to her dad from whom she has learned the craft.
The actress also said that she will be working in front as well as behind the camera and calls it as a matter of pride for her as she has never assisted her dad.
Sadak 2 will release in 2020 which is 29 years after the first movie came out. Also, this will be the first time that Alia Bhatt will be directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt.
