RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 28:The district administration Rajouri today discussed and sorted out the issues to facilitate smooth conduct of the Block Development Council elections, here at a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sher Singh.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Sushil Khajuria,Deputy District Election officer Rizwan Asgar,District Panchayat officer Dr.Abdul Khabir,Block development officers and others.
The meeting was informed that 312 panchayats of district has a total electoral roll of 2689 including 1831 males and 858 females.
The ADC sought a detailed report from block development officers about the arrangements. They said that the arrangements including water and power supply, accommodation for the polling parties, ramps etc are ready.
He asked the block development officers to verify the electoral rolls as early as possible and make sure that all the necessary facilities for the smooth conduct of the elections are made available at polling stations and RO& ARO headquarters.
