The Press Club Akhnoor strongly condemned the cowardly attack on senior journalist Rakesh Sharma in Kathua, terming it a direct assault on the freedom of the press. The Club has demanded strict and immediate action against the perpetrators responsible for this shameful incident.
In an emergency meeting chaired by President Shiv Bairagi, members expressed deep concern over the growing attacks on journalists and emphasized the urgent need to ensure the safety and dignity of media professionals. The Club urged the administration to swiftly apprehend the culprits and ensure strict punishment to deter such incidents in the future.
