Arvind Gupta, senior BJP leader and MLA Jammu West, emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the critical role of medical camps in ensuring public well-being. He stated that preventive healthcare is essential in today’s fast-paced world, where lifestyle diseases like diabetes, obesity, and hypertension are on the rise. He urged people to adopt a balanced diet, regular exercise, and routine health check-ups to prevent chronic illnesses.
The MLA was speaking after inaugurating the free medical camp organized by Sedna Clinics and Diagnostic Center, Jammu today.
The senior BJP leader commended Sedna Clinics for their commitment to public health and lauded their initiative in organizing the health camp, emphasizing the importance of preventive healthcare and the need for regular medical check-ups. He reiterated that such efforts align with the government’s vision of accessible and affordable healthcare for all, encouraging citizens to take full advantage of these initiatives to lead healthier and more productive lives.
Notably, Sedna Clinics and Diagnostic Center, Jammu, successfully organized a Free Mega Health Check-up Camp, focusing on diabetes, obesity, and thyroid disorders. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 400 patients benefiting from the free medical services and diagnostic tests offered during the event.
The camp was led by a distinguished team of renowned medical experts, including Dr. Sushil Kotru, Director and Head of the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Bathinda, and Sedna Clinics, along with Dr. Leena Kotru, Senior Dietitian (Gold Medallist), Diabetes Educator, and Weight Loss Expert. Dr. Tarundeep Singh, MS, DNB, MNAMS, Orthopaedic Surgeon from Ranjit Hospital, Jalandhar, also contributed his expertise to the camp, ensuring comprehensive medical consultations and care for all attendees.
The medical camp was also graced by Hardeep Singh Mankotia, former Corporator, who attended as the Guest of Honour, along with Kushant Prajapati, Mandal President BJP, and Atul Bakshi, Senior BJP Leader.
During the camp, patients availed themselves of free diagnostic tests, including HbA1c, TSH, Lipid Profile, Foot Nerve, Fibroscan, and Bone Densitometry. The health camp not only provided valuable diagnostic services but also raised awareness about managing chronic health conditions like diabetes, obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol, and thyroid disorders.
