Former MLA from R.S. Pura, Prof Gharu Ram along with his hundreds of supporters, joined BJP in the presence of BJP State President Ravinder Raina, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, MLC Ajatshatru Singh and other senior leaders of party.
Ravnider Raina, while welcoming Prof. Gharu ram along with his supporters in the party fold, said that his entry will help to strengthen the organization especially in the border belts of the district. He said that former MLA is a person linked to the ideology of party since long but due to some misunderstanding, he parted ways some time ago. He welcomed his re-entry into the party fold and expressed faith that he will further the mission of party for “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas” in the region.
Kavinder Gupta, welcomed Prof. Gharu Ram in the BJP family and said that his competitiveness and ground work in the society compelled him to return to his basic party and his services will benefit the party in upcoming elections.
Prof. Gharu Ram, upon his joining said that he has returned to his original home after a gap. He insisted that today he is feeling very much relaxed as he has returned to his native place, abode of peace to his mind. He said that his heart compelled him to join BJ due to the ideology and the confidence in the strong leadership of Modi ji.
Retd. ASI Sat Paul , Capt. Jagdish, Sham Lal, Tarlok singh, Joginder Singh, Moihinder singh, S. Sharm Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Amrik Singh, Jarnail singh, Jagdish Raj Bhagat (Retd. Principal) and others were amongst the prominent persons who joined BJP along with Prof. Gharu Ram on the occasion in the presence of Ravinder Raina.
State Secretary Ajay Pargal, Ajay Vaid, Munish Sharma, Jagdish Bhagat, District President Brijeshwar Singh Rana, District General Secretary Ahuti Sharma, Om Prakash Chachu, Nath Ram, Ashok Choudhary, H. S. Pammi, Tirth Ram and others were amongst the prominent BJP leaders present on the occasion.
