Hosts Parade Sports Association (PSA), led by former Ranji
Trophy skipper, Sanjay Sharma, won the Veteran Twenty20 Cricket (Salute to Indian Forces) Tournament outplaying J&K Police XI by four wickets at Parade Ground, here today.
Batting first, J&K Police made 113 runs for eight wickets. Nishu remained top scorer with unbeaten 35 while Rakesh Koul (25), Rajesh Gill and Raman Singh (12 each) were other contributors to the total. From PSA, Sanjay Sharma took four wickets for eight runs in four overs he bowled.
Vicky Dogra secured two wickets. In reply, PSA attained the goal making 117 runs in 18.3 overs for six wickets. Shashi played superb innings of 42-ball 52 runs and remained ubeaten. Rajinder Singh Bedi contributed 16 runs.
Later, Sanjay Sharma was named man of the match.
