Senior BJP Leader and State Spokesperson Pt. Ashok Kumar Khajuria Wednesday distributed free LPG connections to beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) in a function organised at Rani Bagh area under Gandhi Nagar constituency. As many as 50 LPG connections with other related accessories were handed over to the beneficiaries from Ajit Nagar, Narwal Pain, Rani Bagh, Satwari areas. Vikas Sharma – Convener BJP Sharnarthi Cell, Bharat Sharma, District Secretary BJP, Suresh Sharma, Co-convener BJP Sharnarthi Cell, prominent party activists Ramnik Singh and Suraj Parkash Sharma were also present.
While addressing on this occasion Pt. Ashok Khajuria said that the Prime Minister Narender Modi led Central Government has envisaged this scheme to provide women with a safe and clean provision of fuel for cooking.
Pt Khajuria highlighted the public welfare schemes announced by the Prime Minister Narinder Modi for people of the country. He urged upon the public to in general to take maximum benefit of such schemes to uplift their living standard and educate their future generation.
He said that distribution of LPG connection is aimed at empowering women folk under Ujwala Yojana.
He said many welfare schemes announced by PM Modi are committed under a nationwide programme “Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas”. “Approximately 5.86 crore LPG connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) have been released in the last four and half years across the country. In district Jammu, more than 59,000 connections under the aforesaid scheme were issued,” he added.
He also made people aware about the benefits of other Centrally Sponsored schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantra Awas Yojana (PMAY), Skill India, Make in India, Swachh Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojana etc. launched by the Modi government and urged them to come forward and avail the benefits of these schemes.
“10 per cent reservation to the economically backward is a progressive step aimed at empowering the poor people belonging to general category and it should not be taken as a poll gimmick. Rather it is a part of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” ideology of the party,” he further said.
Urging the people to again vote to power BJP govt at Centre, he said unprecedented development had been witnessed in all the spheres under the leadership of PM Modi and it can only be furthered under the leadership of PM Modi.
