Vijaypur 2nd Nov: PTTI Vijaypur organized a camp in the Institute on Drug Abuse, Vigilance awareness and discouraging single use plastic in collaboration with Rotary Club Jammu Trikuta. On this occasion, 300 students and teachers of Govt. Higher Secondary School Vijaypur participated in the camp. Various dignitaries including Dr. Ram Gupta, Ms. Kiranjeet Kour and Ms. Vidhushi Gupta threw light on bad effects of using psychotropic substances including Marijuana, Heroine, brown sugar, poppy straw etc. Interaction was held with the students to aware them about drug abuse and encouraged them to keep away from using drugs and further aware their families and friends to keep away from such ill-practices. During the event, a pledge was also given to the students to remain away from drugs.
Dr. Ram Gupta also delivered an impressive lecture on personal hygiene and washing of hands properly before and after taking meals to avoid bacterial and viral infections. Shri Fateh Singh, Principal, GHSS Vijaypur thanked Principal PTTI Vijaypur for inviting the students and staff for giving awareness to the students on such an important topic.
While speaking on the occasion, Shri Ashok Kumar Principal PTTI Vijaypur stressed upon the students to utilize their potential towards making their future bright and adopt good moral character. Keeping in view the Vigilance Awareness Week-2019, it was also emphasised upon the students to discourage corruption and make our newly created Union Territory an example for whole of India. The function was also marked with the distribution of about 400 cotton carry bags among the students in order to discourage them of single use plastic. At the conclusion, Principal PTTI Vijaypur thanked team of Rotary Club Jammu Trikuta and Principal and staff and students of GHSS Vijaypur to spare their valuable time for the occasion.
