Punjab Wrestler Prince lifts Bathindi Dangal Title

JAMMU, Sept 28:
Punjab wrestler, Prince lifted the Bathindi dangal title defeating Benia Min of Basantgarh in Udhampur in the main bout that lasted for 21 minutes at village Bathindi, here. Dangal was organized by Bathindi Panj Peer Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the supervision of Noor Alam, Mohd. Alam and Mohd. Aslam.
President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief Guest who distributed cash prizes among the winning wrestlers. Retired SP, Prithvi Raj Sharma presided while Mohd Aslam was guest of honour.
Winner of main bout, Prince awarded with Rs 60,000 cash prize jointly by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Noor Alam, Mohd. Alam and Mohd. Aslam while runners-up Benia Min received Rs 40,000 from Kurshad Ali, Mohd Alam (Mudha) and Prithvi Raj Sharma.
In all, 67 bouts played in this day-long event. The second main bout went to Shamsher of Dinanagar in Punjab beating Roshan Gujjar of Delhi. Winner Shamsher was cash awarded with Rs 20,000 while Roshan Gujjar got Rs 15,000.
Members and technical officials who helped for smooth conduct of Dangal included Noor Alam, Mohd. Alam, Farman Ali, Mohd. Aslam, Kurshad Ali, Mohd. Alam (Mudha), Shah Mohd., Sain Mohd., Mohd. Fareed, Krishan Singh, Mulk Raj and Raj Hussian.
Other Results: Amir Khan beat Malkith, Noor Shakar beat Bablu, Ali beat Manjeet, Bobari beat Bharat Bhushan, Kaka beat Susheel Kumar, Babba beat Sharif, Ajay beat Nawaj Ali, bout played between Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) and Rimple ended in a draw.
