Pradesh Vishwakarma Shaba (PVS) J&K, organized a felicitation function at its office Gurha Bakshi Nagar, Jammu today in the Chairmanship of Lakhpat Rai to honour those who contested the elections of Panchayat and Local Bodies.
While presenting Mementos to each of the panch/sarpanches, Chairman congratulated them and hoped that their leadership will go a long way for the welfare of society. Prominent panches/ sarpanches honoured included Vinod Kumar from Magyot distt Rajouri, Smt Neelam Kumar Verma, village Shoa, Smt Anit Devi from Vill Arnia, Shukar Dass Verma from vill Channu Chak Vishal Verma from Kangrail.
Speakers expressed satisfaction over the participation of good number of Vishwakarma people in the democratic process of Panchyati Raj. It was lauded that India Democracy is deep rooted and matured over the period of seventy years. Speakers said, Rural India is real India and Panhcyati Raj is foundation of Reasi Democracy.
