The Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) (Police Pariwar) will launch an intensive awareness initiative for Clean Jammu and Tawi & Clean Jammu from May 21st to May 23rd.
This is first time in The history of state that PWWA is going to do such a great job for whole Jammu. The main highlights of the campaign are Walk for Tawi, Cultural Programmes, Nukkad Nataks, Slogan, painting competition, lectures on waste management, quiz, on spot prizes at different places across Jammu city, Tawi cleanup, cleanliness drive at different places, distribution of langer / community meals, bike rally flag off etc.
The Chief Guest on the occasion will be newly inducted in Cabinet Shri Sat Sharma, Hon’ble Minister for Housing and Urban Development Department on the inaugural session at Parade Ground, Jammu, Shri Rajesh Gupta, Hon’ble MLA Jammu East and Shri B.B. Vyas, IAS, Chief Secretary, J&K will be the guests of honour. Director General of Police, Dr. S.P. Vaid will be the presiding guest.
On the said occasion 3000 students from 48 government and private schools are taking part in this programme which will be conducted on 10 different places at a same time in the morning as well as in the evening. Suitable gifts in shape of T-shirts, Bags etc. have been planned for on spot quiz competitions and other activities related to cleanliness. The painting competition/camp will be now held at Bagh-e-Bahu on day 2 of the campaign i.e 22 May 2018 at 9.00 am to 11.00 am. A team of around 12 doctors and experts will give motivational talks and demonstrations regarding waste management
The concluding function will be held at Police Auditorium at 5.30 pm wherein those who have contributed for the success of the campaign #Hero4Tawi will be felicitated.
While talking to media Mr.Vaid clearly said that Amarnath Yatra will proceed without any tension
and our security forces are ready to any kind of challenge by militants he also said that this is the month of holy Ramdhan and I hope the Amarnath Yatra will proceed in smooth way because both are connected with Almighty.
He also said that because of Ramdhan Pakistan should realize about such holy month and must shun the path of violence.
