Rabia Khajuria, young and promising social activist who also worked as journalist, filled her nomination from Akhnoor for upcoming DDC Elections. She filled her nomination as an independent candidate from Akhnoor. Rabia was accompanied with dozens of her supporters including prominent ladies. She filed her nomination at SDM Office Akhnoor. Rabia Khajuria is a known face who has worked as a journalist since a long time in Akhnoor.
Addressing the gathering Rabia Khajuria said that came heavily on some political parties who allegedly filed outsider candidate in DDC Elections from Akhnoor. She said that it is very shameful that the largest party of India failed to provide a local candidate in these elections which made her contest. She said she is familiar with grievances of the people of Akhnoor and will do her best if people give her an opportunity.
She said that employment for youth and ladies will be her top priority. She said that better road connectivity, continuous water and electricity supply will be provided once she is elected.
She appealed to people to come forward leaving their parties aside for the sake of development of Akhnoor. She said that from tomorrow onwards she will start her tour programmes in the whole constituency.
