The inaugural match of the Raghu Memorial Cricket Tournament was held today at the M.A. Stadium, Jammu, marking an energetic start to the event. The opening game featured Maulan Cricket Club taking on Apex Cricket Club in a thrilling contest.The tournament was inaugurated in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Yudveer Sethi, MLA, and Guest of Honour Shri Taranjeet Singh (Tony), senior leader. The event has been organised by the Rising Cricket Club under the guidance of Dixit Sharma. Maulan Cricket Club emerged victorious in the first encounter, showcasing excellent teamwork and determination. The second match of the day saw Rehari Kings face Tantary Sports Club, where Rehari Kings secured an easy win with a strong performance.Special guests for the second match included Shri Pratap Singh Jamwal and Shri Prince Verma, whose presence encouraged the players and organisers alike. The tournament is being conducted with the message of promoting the “Say No to Drugs” awareness campaign and endorsing the Fit India Movement , inspiring youth towards sportsmanship, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.
