BJP State President Ravinder Raina, while expressing sympathies with the families of the victims of tragic road accident in Keshwan area of Kishtwar, said that it has left a big question mark on the management of the safe and smooth traffic flow in hilly and far flung areas and a high level inquiry should be conducted to fix the responsibility for repeated accidents and loss of precious human lives in erstwhile Doda.
Ravinder Raina said that repeated accidents have been reported in many areas of Doda, Kishtwar and other hilly areas and the administration has not taken note, as a result there is no check on occurrence of such fatal accidents.
Raina said that deployment of adequate traffic Police men at short distances, regular checking of the vehicles plying in hilly areas, strong action against over loading and over speeding vehicles, pulling out of service the old public transport buses and mini buses, adding more vehicles for public use, proper maintenance of roads, are few measures which can minimize the risk of accidents.
Ravinder Raina also stressed upon the administration to make Trauma Hospital Ramban effectively functional with provision of adequate infrastructure, posting required doctors and para-medical staff.
The BJP State Chief also demanded that the government should provide free treatment to the injured passengers and give compensation to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident.
