Mr. Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Former Minister appointed Mr. Rajiv Mahajan, a social activist as District President (Urban) of Panthers Party here in Jammu today. He shall also be in-charge of Social Media cell of the party.
On the occasion, Mr. Rajiv Mahajan said that JKNPP was the only regional party of Jammu region which had been fighting for the cause of the Jammu region right from the time of its inception. He said that in the last four years the party had lodged more than 400 protests in Jammu and more than 50 protests in New Delhi for raising Jammu centric issues which BJP miserably failed to do so during its rule. He said that Delhi and Kashmir based parties were not the solution to the discrimination doled out to the people of the Jammu province and maintained that Panthers Party was well versed with the plight of the people which had vowed to regain the pride and honour of the people at all costs. Mr. Singh said that since the BJP had bartered away the aspirations of the Dogras to Kashmiri leadership for the lust of power, the people were feeling cheated and betrayed, and hence reposing faith in the Panthers Party.
Rajiv Mahajan, while expressing his gratitude to Mr. Harsh Dev Singh pledged to propagate the agenda of the party at the grass root level.
He flayed the BJP’s policy of deceit, duplicity and betrayal cautioned the people not to get swayed away again by the rhetoric and tall pronouncements of the Saffron party and exhorted them to support and strengthen their own Panthers Party for the empowerment of Jammu region. He maintained that JKNPP had experienced, unblemished and competent leaders who could fight for the rights and justice of the people in letter and spirit.
The newly appointed District President (Urban) was directed by the Party Chairman to appoint Ward Presidents in all 75 wards of Jammu city and constitute respective committees within one month.
