Rakesh Mahajan, In-charge All Cells Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu and Kashmir today convened a meeting of the Conveners of various cells of the party to take stock of their working during the past three months at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The meeting discussed functioning of the Cells at ground level besides deliberating on the role of the conveners and strategy to be followed for success of the party in the forthcoming elections. Those who attended today’s meeting included Sham Langar, Convenor Trade and Industries Cell; Puneet Mahajan, Convenor Health and Medical Cell and Ashutosh Gupta, Convenor Transport Cell besides all the District Conveners and Co-Conveners at the party headquarters. They detailed the Convenor All Cells BJP J&K about the status of their working on ground for the welfare of the common people.
Puneet Mahajan, Convenor Health and Medical Cell informed Rakesh Mahajan that the Cell is working relentlessly for ensuring that Ayush cards are issued to each and every person in Jammu and Kashmir. While lakhs of people have been issued these cards, the activists and workers are motivating the left out people at grass roots level to apply for the same and also helping them in becoming part of this health scheme launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that those whose names do not figure in Census data are being helped in getting enrolled after applying in proper form to the concerned Tehsildar. He also detailed about the activities carried out during the Covid Times. He assured the All Cells in-charge of covering all the left out before the elections in the Union Territory. Ashutosh Gupta, Convenor Transport Cell said that the Transporters have been the worst sufferers on account of Covid restrictions informed how the cell initiated rigorous efforts and achieved success in getting the life of old vehicles from 15 years to 25 years. He said that the cell is in the process of impressing upon the concerned authorities to exempt the transporters from certain levies and taxes imposed upon them. He said that the Transport Cell has taken up the issue of hurdles at Lakhanpur entry point which is exceptional and needs to be resolved at the earliest. He said that the Cell has only the other day appealed to the Lt Governor for easing out the situation there.
Sham Langar, Convenor Trade and Industries Cell informed in the meeting that the Cell has made the trade and industry stakeholders aware about the various schemes for this sector after being hit by Covid crisis. He said that while the Cell worked hard to address the MSME sector issues as a result of which the revival schemes were announced by the government. While welcoming these schemes, he said that the Cell will continue its relentless efforts as still a lot needs to be done for the MSME Sector.
Rakesh Mahajan exhorted upon the Conveners to gear up for the forthcoming Assembly elections in the Union Territory. He asked them to make all possible efforts in making the people of their respective areas aware of the pro-people initiatives taken by the BJP led Government at the Centre. He said that there is dire need to strengthen the party base so that the BJP will be able to form next government in the Union Territory.
Later during a meeting the All Cells in-charge along with Conveners appointed Zila Prabharis with full consent of BJP President, Ravinder Gupta and BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul.
