First class cricketer, Ram Dayal with his bat and brilliant spell by Vishal today helped KCCC register an easy win against lowly side of Amco Cricket Club on way to the semifinals of the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship for district Jammu at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here. Ram Dayal helped the side set a challenging total of 241 runs losing six wickets in allotted 30 overs with his 64-ball 85 runs including 10 boundaries and a six after KCCC won the toss and decided to bat first.
Manik Gupta also played well contributing 37-ball 51 runs while Kaniya and Raman Thaploo added valuable 24 and 23 runs respectively. From Amco, Nitish and Harry claimed two wickets each. Batting second, Amco batting line up exposed when whole side bowled out for 88 runs in 17.4 overs.
Sanjay and Ajay were highest scorers with 32 and 12 runs respectively. From KCCC, Vishal bowled deadly spell taking away four wickets for just 11 runs in 4.4 overs. Sawan claimed three for 19 in three overs while Kunal took two for 13 in two overs.
For his superb bowling, Vishal was named man of the match. Sadiq Hussain Malik and Dayal were umpires in today’s quarterfinal while Saleem-ur-Rehman was scorer.
