In a remarkable display of community service and healthcare outreach, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital in Udaywala, Jammu, recently organized a highly successful medical camp. The camp, held with the objective of providing comprehensive healthcare services to the local population, was a testament to the hospital’s commitment to public health and wellness.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal of Government Medical College, Jammu. His presence and support underscored the significance of such initiatives in bridging healthcare gaps and reaching underserved communities. In his inaugural address, Dr. Gupta highlighted the importance of proactive healthcare measures and commended the efforts of all those involved in organizing the camp.
Dr. Sudesh Gupta MS ksharsutra and Dr. Twinkle Gupta MD Kayachikitsa, esteemed Associate Professors from the Government Ayurvedic Medical College (GAMC), Akhnoor, led the medical team. Their expertise and dedication were instrumental in the camp’s success. They were supported by a team of interns whose tireless efforts ensured the smooth and effective delivery of services.
The camp offered a range of specialized services, including Nadipariksha (pulse diagnosis), Prakriti Pariksha (body constitution analysis), Ksharsutra treatment (a specialized procedure in Ayurveda), and free blood sugar testing. These services aimed at providing holistic and preventive healthcare solutions to the attendees.
A total of 83 patients benefitted from the camp, receiving personalized medical consultations and treatments. The provision of free blood sugar testing enabled early detection and management of diabetes, a growing concern in the community. Additionally, free medicines were distributed to all patients, ensuring they had access to necessary treatments and follow-up care.
Swami Yajnadharananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, highlighted the organization’s commitment to the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada, and Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing service to humanity as a form of divine worship.
Swami Yajnadharananda informed that RamaKrishna Mission Medical Center is dedicated to delivering compassionate and comprehensive healthcare. We integrate the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with modern medical practices to provide a holistic approach to health and wellness.
The overwhelming response from the community was heartening, with patients expressing their gratitude for the high-quality, accessible care provided. The camp not only addressed immediate health concerns but also educated the public on the importance of regular health check-ups and the benefits of Ayurveda in maintaining overall health and wellness.
