The Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre in Udheywala, Jammu, successfully organized a one-day free health camp here today.
Dr. Vishav Dev Singh, a Gastroenterologist from SMVD Narayana Hospital rendered his services. The health camp provided a comprehensive range of free medical services, including consultations with Orthopaedist, Gynaecologist, Dental Surgeons, Ophthalmologist, Allopathy Physicians, Physiotherapist. Refreshments were also provided for all attendees.
In addition to the free consultations, the camp also offered check-ups for blood sugar, Hba1c, and blood pressure at no cost. A Full Body Check-up covering 66 parameters, including CBC, LFT, KFT, Lipid profile, BSF, Urine tests, and thyroid function tests (T3, T4, TSH), was available for a nominal fee of Rs. 1000, a substantial discount from the usual price of Rs. 1400.
A total 266 of patients benefited from the expertise of 13 doctors at this camp. Total 50 fibroscan, 70 blood sugar and 22 Spirometry tests were done free of cost.
Distinguished guests including Anil Padha, former secretary Indian Red Cross Society graced the event with their presence. He praised the Mission’s commendable work and encouraged local citizens to make the most of these medical services.
Swami Yajnadharananda Ji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, said that this camp was a part of Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre’s ongoing commitment to serving the community and providing accessible healthcare services to all. He highlighted the organization’s commitment to the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada, and Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing service to humanity as a form of divine worship. He also announced plans to organize such free camps monthly.
He said that Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu also provides cultural, educational and medical services following the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada and Swami Vivekananda.
