Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre organised a Free Multi-Speciality Health Camp on 17 August 2024, Saturday, from 09:00 AM to 02:00 PM. The camp featured prominent specialists including Dr. S. K. Bali, specialized in kidney diseases (Nephrology), Dr. Jaspreet Singh, a diabetologist and endocrinologist, and Dr. Suby Kakkar, a dermatologist and cosmetologist, Dr. Sudesh Gupta, a Ayurvedic Surgeon from GAMC Akhnoor and Dr. Shailesh, GAMC Akhnoor.
A total 351 of patients benefited from the expertise of 16 doctors at this camp.
In addition to these specialized services, the health camp also provided free consultations in Physician (Allopathy), ENT, Gynaecologist, Dental Surgeons, Orthopaedics, Eye Specialist, Gynaecologist and Physiotherapist.
Distinguished guests including Mr. Arvind Karwani, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Mr. Balwinder Singh, President Rotary Club, Mr. Ramnik Singh, Mr. R. S. Jamwal, Mr. Sunil Thussu, Mr. Manjit Singh, Dr. Neeru Kharu graced the event with their presence.
Arvind Karwani commended the Centre’s efforts in alignment with Swami Vivekananda’s vision and urged public support for such humanitarian initiatives. He also came forward to help us in any way possible.
The camp also facilitated 50 haemoglobin tests, 85 free blood sugar tests and distributed medicines free of charge.
Swami Yajnadharananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, highlighted the organization’s commitment to the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada, and Swami Vi vekananda, emphasizing service to humanity as a form of divine worship. He also announced plans to organize such free camps monthly.
