Rameshwar Singh, MLA Bani, has emerged as the only Independent candidate to secure a victory in the recent Assembly elections from the Kathua, Samba, and Udhampur districts. Representing the Hindu Rajput community, Singh’s win has made him a prominent figure, as he stands as the sole Hindu and Rajput face among the elected representatives from these regions.
The election results have brought a wave of optimism among the Hindu Rajput community, who are considered a minority in this region. With Th Rameshwar Singh’s victory, the community now has high hopes that he will be given a prominent role in the upcoming formation of the Government in Jammu and Kashmir. There is a strong demand for his induction into the Cabinet, as people believe that his representation will address the aspirations and concerns of the Hindu Rajput minority, ensuring their voices are heard at the state level.
