Five wickets haul from Ramnik today guided Bhatia Cricket Academy (BBC) to a big eight wickets win against Brigadier Rajinder Singh Cricket Club (BRSCC) in the ongoing Patriot’s Cup (50 overs) Cricket Tournament at Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota, near here.
Earlier, on a windy day, BRSCC won the toss and decided to bat and the whole side bowled out for 155 runs in the 30th over of the innings. Musaif was once again the top run getter with 53 while Salim contributed 45.
Except for Abhishant Bakshi, no other batsman could touch the double figure mark. Yaudhmanyu and Raghav Sharma added to the woes of the struggling BRSCC and were duck out.
It was Ramnik, who orchestrated the batting failure with his brilliant bowling taking away five wickets for 51 runs. Ankush and Ankaj secured two wickets each while Manik and Roshan shared apiece each.
When put to bat, Bhatia Cricket Club batsmen coasted to victory losing just two wickets in 27 overs.
Ankush and Kanav Saini scored 60 and 54 respectively while Sachin contributed 14. It was the restless BRSCC, who tried everything in their reserve by trying as many as nine bowlers .
However, except Abhishant Bakshi and Lucky Sharma, who felled one wicket each, no other bowler could gain any success.
For his five wickets haul, Ramnik was declared man of the match.
