The Managing Committee members of the Shri Shri Jagat Amba Sharika Chakreshwar Sanastha Trust, Hari Parbat, Devi Angan, Srinagar, met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
The delegation led by President of the Trust Ranjeet Gurkha submitted a memorandum of demands to the Lt Governor.
President Ranjeet Gurkha was accompanied by JK Khar, Sanjay Raina, ML Sathu, General Secretary, Vijay Qazi, Surinder Kaul, Bharat Raina, Upinder Kar, Adv Arun Dhar, Kuldeep Dhar and BL Jalali.
While speaking, Ranjeet Gurkha informed that Shri Shri Jagat Amba Sharika Chakreshwar Sanastha Trust is working for the development and upkeep of the Old Shrine in Srinagar and its replica temple in Jammu.
“The Trust celebrates all the rituals as per Logakhshi Calender at Srinagar and Jammu”, he said.
Through memorandum, the President urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to develop the shrine keeping in view of its potential of local, national and international tourism. “The renovation work of the shrine is going on, but needs to expedite”, Gurkha said.
President of the Trust has requested the Lieutenant to have first hand information of the Shrine and intervene personally for the development of this world class Spiritual and pilgrimage centre.
Gurkha also requested the Lieutenant Governor to attend the inaugural function of forthcoming Navratras at Srinagar.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha heard the issues patiently. He assured to redress the genuine issues releated to the Shrine.
