JAMMU, May 27:
Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), the inter-school district level competition in the disciplines of Basektball, Archery and Shooting got underway at Shrine Board Sports Complex, here today.
The competition is being held in all three age groups of under-14, under-17 and under-19 in both boys and girls sections under the guidance of technical penal.
Earlier, the competition declared open by Additional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) SMVDSB, Vivek Verma , who was chief guest. Director Sports SMVDSB, Ashok kumar was guest of honour.
This competition is being held under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Reasi, Romesh Mishra.
The Results
BASKETBALL: Amba Kids Home Panthal won the boys under-14 final beating Middle School Kundrorian Kids 16-13. In a preliminary round match, Ambt Kids beat Primary School Katra 12-11 and MS Kundrorian Kids beat MS Hansali. Under-14 Girls: GHS Katra beat MS Kundrorian 10-08. Under-17 Girls: GHSS Katra beat GHS Katra 18-15.
SHOOTING:
Diya khadgotra (Pistol) of GHS Katra scored 145 points out of 200 while Yashika (Pistol)scored 80 points and Sushma 66. BOYS: Jayant Gupta (Rifle) Of DPS scored 155 points out of 200 while Kunal scored 130 out of 200 and qualified for the final.
The competition officiated by the panel comprising Rahul Bakshi , Jaswant Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Harpreet Kour, Pawan Kumar, Suman Lata and Jabir Kour.
