New Delhi, May 01 : Xiaomi is leaving no stone unturned to take on the likes of Realme. On Tuesday, Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Jain announced that the Redmi Note 7 Pro now gets Fortnite support. There is no hidden fact that with the Fortnite support Xiaomi wants its Redmi Note 7 Pro to compete directly with Realme’s latest “flagship”-the Realme 3 Pro. After the Realme 3 Pro was launched with Fortnite support Jain had promised to bring the support to Redmi Note 7 Pro in the days to come. Xiaomi has lived up to its promise.
Jain took to Twitter to announce the Fortnite support for the Redmi Note 7 Pro. In the post Jain noted, “You asked for it.. and here it is! The incredible #RedmiNote7Pro now comes with #Fortnite support with latest #MIUI 10.2.10.0..”Jain also posted pictures playing Fortnight on the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
Realme has been touting the Fortnite support for the Realme 3 Pro even before the phone was officially launched. The Realme 3 Pro also comes with PUBG support. After the latest MIUI update, the same can also be said about the Redmi Note 7 Pro too. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro now supports both PUBG and Fortnite.
As far as the core hardware is concerned the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset while the Realme 3 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 710 chipset. In real life gaming performance, the Realme 3 Pro will possibly have an edge over the Redmi Note 7 Pro because Snapdragon 710 has a slight edge over the Snapdragon 675 as for the GPU performance is concerned. However, in terms of CPU the Redmi phone may turn out to be better because Snapdragon 675 uses Qualcomm Kryo 460 architecture based on ARM Cortex A76. In comparison the Snapdragon 710 comes with Qualcomm custom Kryo 360 cores.
Both the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Realme 3 Pro are head on with one another as far as the overall offerings are concerned. In terms of pricing too both the Realme 3 Pro and the Redmi Note 7 Pro are the same. The 4GB RAM model of both the phones come at Rs 13,999 while the 6GB RAM model of the phones come at a price of Rs 16,999.
