JAMMU, FEB 12:
Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery) today made a strong appeal to Central Govt. to reduce term of State Legislative Assembly from six years to five years.
While addressing the media persons here at party headquarters at Jammu State President of Shiv Sena ( Bala Ji Sahib Thackery) Dimpy Kohli said that in whole India the one term of Legislative Assembly is five years but in Jammu Kashmir the one term of Legislative Assembly is six years which is a big injustice with the people of Jammu and Kashmir who have full faith in the constitution of India.
He said that to make term of six years is a political gimmick which gives benefit only to the politicians who are in seat. General Public has nothing to do with the six years term of Legislative Assembly.
He said that before elections political leaders will speak different language but after elections political leaders will sing different tune which suits to them. He said this is very unfortunate that despite many appeals Central Govt. has not took any decision to reduce the one time term of State Legislative Assembly to Five Years instead of six years.
He said that if their demand is not fulfilled at the earliest Shiv Sena will start big agitation against this.
Several leaders joined Shiv Sena from Kashmir region of Baramulla. PDP leader Rahe Majeed Lone along with his other members came to shiv sena under the leadership of State President Dimpy Kohli and General Secretary Manish Sahni.
Those who were present on the occasion were Rakesh Gupta, Raj Singh, Vikas Patel, Naresh Bakshi, Radhe Radhe Maharaj, Manohar Lal, Ramesh Gupta, Raju Salaria, Pawan Singh and others .
