Protest on behalf of contractual employees working under centrally sponsored scheme Saakshar Bharat Mission (SBM) viz District coordinator’s, Block coordinators today organized a state level protest program at press club Jammu regarding the regularization of services and extension of program.
While addressing a press conference, here today protestors informed that they have district ,block and panchayat level coordinators and are working under centrally sponsored scheme Saakshar Bharat Mission. The main objective of the scheme is to provide basic and continue education with the special focus on female folk, they added. The motive of the said scheme is to make our country and state a literate society as illiteracy continues to be a big concern in our state.
They further stated that the functionaries engaged on contractual basis at various levels viz Dist, Block and Panchayat level are engaged purely on merit basis.
In addition to our own legitimate duty our services have been utilized for various purpose such as academic support in schools, booth level officers ,CAPD duty ,NAFSA duty ,election duty, they added.
