Rekha Mahajan Leads Silent Candle March to Condemn Rape and Murder of Female Doctor

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan lead a silent candle march to protest the heinous rape of a trainee doctor at R.G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata. The program was organized by Mahila Morcha District President Jammu South Divya Jain and team unit. Rekha Mahajan and participants demanded swift justice for the victim and stringent punishment for the perpetrators. She emphasized the need for improved safety measures and a society free from violence against women. Rekha Mahajan strongly condemned the horrific incident, saying, “The brutal rape of a trainee doctor in Kolkata is a shocking reminder of the alarming rise in crimes against women. We demand immediate action from the authorities to ensure the culprit is brought to justice.”
The silent candle march showcased the solidarity of the people with the victim and her family. It highlighted the collective demand for a safer and more just society. Rekha Mahajan urged the authorities to take concrete steps to address the growing concern of women’s safety, saying, “We cannot afford to delay action. The time for change is now.” Rekha targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the rape and murder of a junior doctor in a hospital in Kolkata. She termed INDIA bloc alliance “political vultures” and said they should rise above their vote bank politics and “break their silence” on such heinous crimes.
This silence will cost the INDI alliance dearly. Rekha said that these people are not politicians or public leaders, they are political vultures who speak out on crimes against sisters and daughters after seeing which state government is there. Rekha alleged law and order has collapsed in West Bengal. BJP leader criticized West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and the INDI alliance for their silence on the alleged rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. Furthermore, Rekha condemned the focus on defaming the victim rather than seeking justice, emphasizing the selective response to such cases based on the ruling government.
