The Ramakrishna Mission, Udheywala, Jammu, held the inauguration ceremony of its Renovated Shrine and Prayer Hall with great devotion and enthusiasm on Friday.
The day began with Mangal Aarti, Adhivas, and Stotra Path at 5:30 AM, filling the premises with divine vibrations. This was followed by a Prabhat Pheri (procession) around the temple complex, accompanied by soulful devotional chants and Bhajans, in which numerous monks and devotees participated wholeheartedly.
A special Puja was conducted from 7:15 AM to 9:15 AM, followed by a Hawan seeking divine blessings for peace, prosperity, and harmony.
The highlight of the ceremony was the benediction and presentation of mementos by Revered Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.
In his inspiring benedictory address, Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj emphasized the timeless ideals of purity, harmony, and selfless service as taught by Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.
He expressed happiness over the successful renovation, noting that such spiritual centres serve as vital beacons for nurturing moral and spiritual values in society. Later, the newly installed Lift and Renovated Physiotherapy Clinic at the Mission’s Medical Centre were inaugurated. These developments were undertaken as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of J&K Bank.
The ceremony concluded with Aarti and Prasad, attended by around 200 participants, including monks, devotees, and well-wishers from Jammu and nearby regions. The occasion marked another milestone in the Mission’s continuous efforts toward service and spiritual upliftment. The Ramakrishna Mission Jammu continues to serve humanity through its dedicated initiatives in education, healthcare, and spiritual guidance.
Swami Yajnadharananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Jammu, extended heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to and participated in the auspicious event.
