Terming November 28 a historic day in the political history of Jammu and Kashmir and the repeal of Roshni Act 2001 viz Jammu and Kashmir State Lands (Vesting of Ownership to the Occupants) Act 2001 the Nation’s splendid victory, Chairman of IkkJutt Jammu Ankur Sharma, Advocate today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jammu and Kashmir Governor SP Malik for their bold and right decision to revoke the atrocious Roshni Act.
“The repeal of Roshni Act is undoubtedly a spectacular victory of the Nationalist forces across the Nation who were deeply concerned over the ongoing demographic invasion on the strategic Jammu Province through Legislation,” said Ankur Sharma.
“Only on Nov. 18, 2018, the IkkJutt Jammu had urged the Jammu and Kashmir Governor to repeal immediately the Roshni Act to defeat Jihad launched in the State in general and Jammu province in particular through legislation calculated to changing Jammu’s demography and converting it into another Kashmir,” he said and added that “by conceding the demand of IkkJutt Jammu and repealing the Roshni Act, the Governor of the State has only vindicated the stand of IkkJutt Jammu that Roshni Act was a conspiracy against the State hatched by Farooq Abdullah in 2001 and perpetuated by those who succeeded him including Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti”.
Instead of repealing it, they all enforced it ruthlessly to achieve their nefarious designs of changing Jammu’s demography and creating schism between the Hindus and Muslims, who were known for their inter-communal amity and peaceful co-existence, bemoaned.
Ankur Sharma reiterated that the Roshni Act not only caused a loss of Rs. 25,000 Crores to the State exchequer and gave impetus to the ongoing demographic changes in Jammu province but it was also aimed at causing migration from Jammu province so that they could create a Kashmir like situation in the province.
Jammu and Kashmir Governor has defeated their move by conceding the demand put forth by IkkJutt Jammu from time to time, said Ankur Sharma.
At the same time IkkJutt Jammu Chairman expressed dissatisfaction over the decision of the J&K Govt to not take back from the encroachers the land they occupied illegally invoking the illegal Roshni Act. Sharma said the said Act has to be thrown out lock, stock and barrel and all the transactions done under it before its revocation must be cancelled and the State land be retrieved. He further said that to not evict the encroachers from the State land occupied
illegally using Roshni Act would be only to defeat the whole purpose for which IkkJutt Jammu has been relentlessly fighting.
Ankur Sharma declared that the battle against Roshni Act and ongoing demographic invasion shall continue unabated and with full force as long as those who changed Jammu’s demography through legislative and executive routes were not evicted.
Ankur Sharma appealed to the people across the Nation to join the Save Jammu IkkJutt Jammu movement so that the dangers facing the Nation surmounted and Nation secured.
