Three days Mathematics research scholar meet, with conspicuous presence of distinguished mathematician drawn all across the nation, organised by Dept. of mathematics, University of Jammu, Jammu was inaugurated today by Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu. In his presidential address
Prof. Dhar called mathematics the mother of all sciences and urged upon faculty members and research scholars to get their papers published in high impact factor journals and in open access journals. Prof Dhar futher said that University is ready to support research scholars in their respective fields and in that direction, Research Cluster has been established, which will give necessary impetus to the scientific temperament on the campus. Vice-Chancellor congratulated the Dept of Mathematics for taking of this uphill task and called upon others to follow the footstep for organising such informative and research oriented events and exhorted upon suggested the organizers for initiating lecture series in the name of outstanding and distinguishing personality like Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and wished the organizer for the success of the event.
Prof. A. P. Singh from central university of Rajasthan, and Prof. Sameer Chavan from IIT Kanpur delivered talks on “on levels of fast escaping sets and spider web of transcendental entire function” and “taylor spectrum approach to a class of operator matrices” respectively. Whereas Prof. V.K. Bhat also spoke on Title “vertex connectivity of line graph.”
Earlier, Prof Romesh Kumar, Head, Dept of Mathematics delivered formal welcome address.
Eminent mathematician of repute including Prof. A.P.Singh, Prof.Jaydeb Sarkar in their respective fields and enriched the audience with their innovative, thought provoking and research oriented addresses during the inaugural function.
