Lohri, an important festival of North India found an enthusiastic celebration at Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana; as the children dazzled the virtual stage with mesmerizing performances. The day began with a virtual morning assembly, where an all faith prayer was sung and the day subsequently unfolded an extravagant show of colour and festivity presented by the students; which included the enlightening speeches about the legend of Lohri and presentation of traditional folk sings, to spread the euphoria of Lohri among all to leave them spellbound. On the school campus, to keep up in tradition, a bonfire was lit and the assembled staff offered obeisanances to the holy fire. Speaking on the occasion, Principal RHS, MS Anita Bhatia, emphasized the need to celebrate the festivals and to stay anchored to the roots, thereby developing a sense of pride in our rich heritage and culture and appreciated the efforts of the children. On the auspicious occasion, Managing Director RHS, MS Ruchi Charak said that the festival, which marks the end of winter and works as the harbinger of spring, has multiple connotations and therein lies the importance of the festival, as she said that there was a need to recognize the richness of our culture and sense pride in the fact.
