As part of the ongoing week-long election awareness campaign, organised by Rural Sports Club, Tug of War event took place at R M Public School, here today.
The competition held in both boys and girls sections with teams drawn from R M Public School and Shiksha Niketan School.
It was during the competition that students pledged to spread the message and to act as brand ambassadors for mass participation by the public in upcoming Parliamentary elections.
Speaking to the students, president of the Rural Sports Club, Narinder Singh appreciated the spirit and zeal among young participants for a cause through the medium of sports.
Meanwhile, as per the organisers, the next event of the week-long campaign, a cycle rally, shall take place tomorrow at 9.30 am. Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu, Rishpal Sing has consented to flag off the participants.
