Mumbai Nov 01:
According to a report in Hindustan Times, Team India’s stand-in captain for T20Is, Rohit Sharma, walked out of the net session angrily after a ball struck his leg before India’s T20 series against Bangladesh begins on Sunday. In the net session, Rohit was batting against India’s throwdown specialist, Sri Lankan bowler, Nuwan Seneviratne, when the incident occurred. After getting hit, the opener immediately removed his gloves and stormed off the practice area. The infuriated Rohit Sharma was soon joined by Seneviratne and India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour who tried to calm him down. The injury did not look serious as there was no trouble faced by Sharma while walking. Also, Rohit looked in good touch till the time he was out in the nets also played a couple of drives. India should hope that Rohit’s storming off from the nets is not a matter of injury concern and is just a slight bump as he is all set to lead Team India in their challenge against Bangladesh in the three-match T20I series.
