JAMMU, Aug 20:
Under the banner of J&K Roll Ball Association, the 28-member (men and women) contingent today left for participation in the 16th Senior National Roll Ball Championship to be held at Surat in Gujarat from August 22 to August 25.
Before the teams left, the selected probable underwent screening test conducted by the J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) under the guidance of Divisional Sports Officer, Ravi Singh.
Earlier, the teams were selected through open trials, followed by the coaching camp held at MA Stadium, here under the supervision of Madhu Sharma, Sudhir Singh and Vishali Vagal.
The teams are accompanied by Sudhir Singh and Madhu Sharma as coaches while Rita Rehan and Vishali Bagal have been named managers.
It will be during this championship that Indian team shall be picked for the 5th Roll Ball World Cup hosted by India in Delhi in November.
