‘RovmutBhatta’ re-creates nostalgia, pain of forced exile of Kashmiri Pandits

VomedhRangmanch added another feather to its cap by gathering huge accolades and response from Kashmiri Pandits living in New Delhi when it staged the second show of RovmutBhatta exclusively for the Delhi audience during the annual two day programme “Shuhul Taaph-2018″organised byKashmir Education Cultural and Science Society (KECSS) at LalDed Auditorium, Pamposh Enclave in New Delhi.
‘RovmutBhatta’ (Lost Pandit) left the jam-packed audience spellbound by the script, direction and the performance of the artists who were highly appreciated by the audience as it re-created a nostalgic effect and reminded them of the pain and plight of Kashmiri Pandits during the 28 years of forced exile from their motherland.
This was second performance of the “RovmutBhatta” team sponsored by Kallpoosh Foundation and Warapara Foundation New Delhi.
‘RovmutBhatta’ is a satirical take on the journey of Kashmiri Pandits since their forced exile in 1990 after the eruption of militancy in Kashmir valley and the impact it has had on the community caught in the cobweb of terrorism and cross cultural chaos leaving them confused about their future.
The play is also introspection on the community leadership majority of which seems to be confused on how to deal with the situation and the cross cultural upbringing of their children threatening to eradicate their age old unique customs, language, traditions through inter caste marriages etc.
King C Bharati who has given steller performances in his various plays of VomedhRangmanch like ‘KhoyaBachpan’, ‘EkAurBirbal’ MazhavNahiSikhata, TacharieMaet’ etchas also a significant role in ‘RovmutBatta’ as Dr.Pradeep and played his role well. He says that commenting on the social evils should not be taken in negative sense but instead one should take a lesson and go for introspection which is the actual message of the play. He expressed his thanks to Dr RajinderTikoo, President KECSS, Dr Arvind Shah, Editor-in-Chief ShuhulTaapth and PavitraHandoo for their cooperation and hospitality.
The artists who played various roles include Vinay Pandit (Tathya), Sunny Mujoo (Jorra), Puneet J. Bali (Raju), King C Bharati (Dr Pradeep), Daisy Bazaz (Maala), RajniBhatti (Hema), Jai Krishan Bali (Leader 1), JatinderRaina (Govt Official), Rahul Pandita (Leader 2), AshishBhat (Leader 3) and Ramesh Pandit (Leader 4).The play has been Written by RakeshRoshanBhat and Directed byRohitBhat, Music and Singer – Tsewang Dorjee (Rishabh),Make up -Sunny Mujjoo, Costume BhartiKoul, Property and Management VeenaWanchoo Director, Kallpoosh Foundation and RajinderTrakroo (Warapara), Stills VirJi Dulloo, Video Harmony India,Back Stage, Aryan Ramesh and Ramesh Zadoo.
